Derrylin (
Irish Doire Fhlainn meaning
the oak grove of Flann) is a small
village in
County Fermanagh,
Northern Ireland, near the border with the
Republic of Ireland. It is on the
A509 road between
Enniskillen and the border with
County Cavan (the
N3 road to
Dublin). It had a population of 423 in the
2001 Census. It is situated in the

The village is steeped in
history and includes the
Callowhill graveyard with
headstones dating back to the
17th century. Lower
Lough Erne is east of the village, and west is the peak of
Slieve Rushen.
Job opportunities in the local economy have brought people to new housing estates at Church View and Oakgrove and there are plans to build around 300 private houses over the next few years. The Derrylin Development Association has ensured that the village has sheltered housing for the elderly at Clachan Court, a children’s playgroup, a Women’s Health group and a dental practice. The Association also oversees the development of units in the Industrial Park.

Derrylin is the hometown of billionaire
